Communication Assistant

A bit more about the role:

We are tasks oriented, not hours, so if you are quicker and you do the job more efficiently – great for both of us.

  • Salary depending on experience between £20- £25k
  • 3 days working on the client side in Hendon and 2 WFH (available after probation period – 2 months)
  •  MS Office a must Mailchimp, Hootsuite preferable
  • English fluent / native
  • preferably with Social Science/ Humanities Degree
  •  2 weeks training under the supervision, later working on your own
  • able to run workshops/ present to larger audiences
  • communicative, supportive, good with deadline
  •  RELIABLE and punctual


  • Building new opportunities database, updating, selecting and editing the data
  • Researching possible opportunities according to the needs of the academics/schools/departments
  • Publishing the newsletter while the Manager is away, being responsible for the content for 2000 academics
  • Contact with relevant funders
  • Editing the social media information, coordinating Twitter account, regular maintenance of the Twitter and website
  • To review daily alerts and log those relevant; constant update with opportunities coming from various sources
  • Be representative person, approachable, proactive and open minded, always available to help
  • Ensuring clear and accurate communication of information across six schools
  • Attending departments meeting when necessary, providing individual support
